The O+ Festival is a celebration of art and music that creates a bridge to access health care for artists. O+ fosters complete physical, mental and social well-being by connecting artists directly with a coalition of healthcare providers and wellness resources in a shared vision to nurture the individual and the community.
Kingston O+ Festival curates artwork that transforms the city into a public art exhibit. O+ juxtaposes the historic architecture of the Stockade District, the Midtown Arts District, and the Rondout waterfront with compelling and thought-provoking contemporary artwork. Projects created for O+ Festival become the property of O+ Festival as part of the exchange of art for medicine.
This year’s Festival theme is HOME.
Is Home a physical place or is Home a state of being?
Are we at Home in our bodies? Are we at Home on Planet Earth? Are we at Home in our country of origin?
Who determines the borders that define Home? Who decides who lives there? What is contained? What is defined?
Is Home where our roots reside or is it our chosen destination?
What does Home mean to YO+U?
